Sibelius Violin Concerto

The opening of Sibelius' violin concerto is eerie. Picture a foggy night by the shore. A faint light floating aimlessly in the distance. You squint your eyes to get a better look, For a brief moment, you gain focus, but then, without warning, it disappears again into the distance. As you set out in your boat in search of your light, a storm is brewing. With waves crashing down upon you, there's nothing you can do but hold on tight. The only thing that keeps you going is the occasional glimmers of light breaking through the clouds that remind you of what you are searching for. These days, drowning in confusion, I am weathering the storm.
