Open Day

Just returned from Open Day at INSEAD! Met classmates, toured the campus, and spoke with professors. Apparently, 53% of INSEAD graduates launch their own businesses. I've thought about entrepreneurship before, but was never that serious about it. I think that's all going to change. Speaking with students and professors definitely helped me work out my future career goals, and more importantly, how I'm going to achieve them.
Now for a bit of history: INSEAD was founded in 1957 as a privately funded institution aimed to develop international managers in Europe. The funding had to be private because any government funded institution had to be national, thus restricting the schools multinational objective. Today, no ethnic background contributes more than 15% of the student population. We are all minorities. I would post a picture, but unfortunately, I left the memory card out of my camera, so all my pictures are non-existent. :(
On a separate note, I learned a new term this weekend while speaking to some of my French classmates. Apparently, 'sock juice' is the direct translation of a term used in French to describe bad coffee. eww!
