American Airlines

I arrived at LAX after an 11 hour flight from London Heathrow. My friend picking me up was nowhere to be seen. After a few minutes of waiting, I realised I didn't have his number, didn't have a mobile phone, didn't have internet, and didn't have any US currency to make a phone call. Stranded, I made my way to the ticket desk, showed the ticket agent my boarding pass, explained my situation, and asked for some help. The agent said he couldn't help me. Shocked, I asked, can I borrow your internet? His response was a cold "no". I asked, could I borrow your phone. Again, he said "no". I asked, could you give me 50 cents to make a phone call, and again, he said "no". I was beginning to think "no" was the only word he knew. Trying to out-smart him, I said "Are you going to just leave me stranded here?" Surprisingly, he said "sorry, nothing I can do." Well, at least he didn't say "no" again. I went outside, borrowed a fellow humans (I don't consider this ticket agent to be human) Blackberry and looked up my friend's number.

I thought only UK doesn't have "customer service", guess US is no better than UK! Next time you'd better be well prepared for the international travel, this is just the beginning! :)
